David Dworkin

June 9, 2017

David Dworkin is the Managing Partner of LLD Enterprises and a Partner in JADD Management, where he performs a wide range of asset management, acquisition, and development functions. In addition to overseeing portfolio leasing, he directs all aspects of financial operations and leads the firm’s investment strategy and execution by sourcing real estate opportunities and overseeing the underwriting, negotiation, and closing of transactions.

In 2013, Dworkin and his wife, Wendy, joined a group of investors who purchased the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. The acquisition reconnected their family to the franchise’s historical roots — the Kings originated as the Rochester Royals, previously owned and coached by Hall of Fame relative Lester Harrison. As a result, the Dworkins became the only NBA owners whose family’s connection to their original franchise predates the founding of the league itself. Of the eight original NBA franchises still in operation, the Dworkin family remains the only ownership group with that distinction.

In 2015, David and Wendy purchased the Rochester Rhinos soccer club. The Rhinos hold a unique place in American soccer history as the only non-MLS team to have won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup since the formation of Major League Soccer. The club was rebranded as Rochester New York Football Club (RNY FC) in 2021 and joined MLS NEXT PRO, a new league that debuted in 2022. The team is currently on hiatus.

In 2026, Dworkin and a group of investors acquired Kelty Hearts Football Club, where he serves as Vice-Chairman. Based in the village of Kelty in Fife, Scotland, Kelty Hearts currently competes in Scottish League One.

Dworkin’s contributions extend well beyond business. He has received numerous accolades, including the Rochester Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 award in 2000 and the New York State Commercial Realtor of the Year award from the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) in 2003. He also received the Rochester Area NYSCAR Chapter Meritorious Service Award for three consecutive years and the NYSCAR Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 — the youngest recipient ever to receive that honor. In 2006, Syracuse University recognized Dworkin and his wife Wendy as its Most Outstanding Young Alumni of the Year. In 2013, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester honored them with the Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) Award, which recognizes individuals, families, and foundations dedicated to making a difference in both the world and the Rochester community. In 2019, the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Rochester presented David and Wendy with its Community Service Award.

Mr. Dworkin is a charter member and past State President of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors and served as the Founding President of its Rochester Area Chapter for three years. In 2006, he received a legislative appointment to the New York State Board of Real Estate, a position to which he was reappointed every two years through 2025.

Dworkin is a Past Chair of Greater Rochester Enterprise and a former member of both the Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences Board of Visitors and the State University of New York at Brockport Foundation Board. He serves on the boards of the Champion Academy and Allendale Columbia School and previously served as Chair of the John F. Wegman Foundation and as Co-Chair and founding board member of the Young Leaders Club of the United Way of Greater Rochester. He is also a former board member of two nonprofit community development organizations — Northwest Development Corporation and Housing Opportunities — where he served as Vice Chair and Treasurer.

Dworkin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and Master of Science degree in Real Estate from New York University.
